Don't Overcrowd!
The temptation in designing your own stand is to try to cram too much in. Don't! Too little is better than too much, for the visitor is then encouraged to ask the staffer read the literature. But if there is too much on the stand his eye will have nowhere to rest, but will flick from one thing to another and not really take anything in. Make use of space to draw the visitor's eye to what is important.
